ahhh. Vin, I miss you. I need you. :o( I love you :o)
eight of those things were new to me too.
and here's one more...the blogosphere is not quite the same without Paul.
Those where mostly new things to me too.. And I knew something was missing on these blogs. The reason I have so few comments is the lack of Paul Fenstermaker!
do you know when oleg is coming? i know it was sometime in september....
Calyn...I love you!
(I'm pretty much counting down the days until our road trip...although judging by the gas prices, we should not be going anywhere!) :)
I'm pretty sure that you didn't just learn today that you miss Lori.
Well, since you asked. First off, it's outrageously expensive. My car sold for less money than I spent on books this semester. Second, when I went there on Tuesday, I found some of my books (they were out of 3 of them. Go figure. They won't buy the amount people actually need for fear they might not sell them all.) and went and stood in a long line, got to the register and said, "Yeah, I need to do book deferment" because at TCC you don't need anything except to sign a piece of paper and give them your word that you'll pay it if your financial aid doesn't come in. But I should have known that dumb FSU bookstores are nothing like TCC's which likes to cater to student's needs rather than to the needs of "Kimberly Sorority-chick's" parents who are coming in town in their giant $150,000 R.V. for the Miami game and displacing hurricane victims out of their hotel rooms (except that this semester, the same cruddy company that owns Bill's in Nebraska bought out the TCC bookstore from the guy who owned it for like, 20 years.) and so when I asked about book deferment, the unhelpful clerk said, "Where's your paperwork?" and I said, "What paperwork?" and he said you have to go to the back of the store and fill out book deferment paperwork." So, I got out of line and went and stood in another line and filled out paperwork and waited, and waited, and waited, until finally a slightly rude grandma-looking lady said, "Where's your paper about financial aid?" And I said, "What paper about financial aid?" And she says, "Go to the other side of the store and print out information saying that you have a scholarship." So, I get out of that line and wait for a computer and when I finally get one, it's broken and the internet doesn't work, so then I finally get another and print the stupid thing out and go get BACK in line and wait at the book deferment desk and give the lady my paperwork then get BACK in the cashier's line and hand the guy all my paperwork to which he says, "We need a personal check to use as collateral." And I didn't have a personal check. SO I LEFT. And I was 15 minutes late to my class and still didn't have a book for it. So I hate Bill's Bookstore. With a passion. That's the end.
