Short Funny Story for Today

So I just got off the phone with my favorite person in the world. I woke her up, but her alarm went off while we were talking, so I didn't feel quite so bad. :0) I heard many funny stories, most involving Syoma and Nekita, but this made me laugh a lot. I was telling Lori about how me and Oleg and Oleg saw a manatee at Wakulla Springs. (Maybe I didn't mention this on my blog, but me and Oleg and Oleg saw a manatee at Wakulla Springs and that was pretty exciting because I've only seen manatees in the wild one other time, and of course Oleg and Oleg had never seen any.) So I was telling Lori about this, but I realized as soon as I started that I'd already emailed her about it before. (See, this is where I suffer. With Lori gone, I am, once again, without a short-term memory. Jenna has been filling in quite well, but I sometimes worry I place too many demands on her. There's only so many things she can remember for me. Car keys and conversations I've had with her are hard enough and one can hardly expect her to remember what I've told or not told Lori in electric corespondance.) Lori's like, "Yeah I was telling Lena, 'Calyn and Oleg and Oleg saw a manatee!' and then I realized, 'oh, she doesn't know what a manatee is.' So of course Lena asks what a manatee is and I'm trying to explain it to her and she's like, 'Is it like a whale?' and I'm like, 'no,' and she's looking it up on her dictionary and can't find it and then finally she's like, 'OH! Is it on Veggietales?'"
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, not only does Veggietales teach Americans kids
"Sunday morning values with Saturday morning fun" and basic French (Je suis manatee.), they also teach Ukrainians about little-known endangered Florida mammals.
